In recent dialogues at ETAuto, Mr. Kishor Patil, Co-Founder, MD & CEO KPIT shared some provocative thoughts on Automotive, Connected, Electric, Shared mobility market. Capturing the essence below :-
š L3+ Autonomous to become norm in next 3-4 years (across North America, Europe and most of Asia)
š Connected software services market to grow at a highest rate among space
š As Connected vehicles keep penetrating the market, vehicle interiors to undergo massive change (Might see a spurt of related diversifications by software players in next-gen interior designing and smart cockpit tech)
š Software defined vehicles (SDV) to significantly drive cost efficiencies for OEMs in the medium to long term
š From a 2-wheelers POV, Advanced Rider Assistance Systems (ARAS) are gaining momentum Continental & Bosch Mobility Platform & Solutions are doing some solid work here
š From commercial vehicles (CV) POV, the market will observe higher degree of alignment (from an ROI and business case standpoint)
š From an India POV, on the supply side the talent stream remains immense which is key to India's role in global ACES initiative. On the demand front, auto sales remain robust, customer education remains priority for OEMs and L3+ to gain momentum. L4 & L5 levels may part of certain segments across inter-mobility in airports and closed infra spaces
