As I got invited by the team at Tata Consultancy Services to visit the showcased offerings I could catch 2 important and differentiating factors in the semicon space:-

👉 First is the importance of academia research partners such as the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) and other premier institutes which are enabling the next generation of semicon journey. I could specifically see how TCS and the academic institute is collaborating to build multiple patents in a cross-disciplinary fashion ranging from electronics to chemical engineering
👉 In past I did hear about the research work going at Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi and Intel Corporation with focus on semicon design and testing. Or the partnership of Arm and Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay for SoC design research. I believe more such collaborations will happen as fabless units establish in India
👉 Second key aspect is the growing utilization of gen AI at a commercialized level in semicon space. Earlier this year I had interesting conversation with Manoj C R specifically for the auto space in the video annotations domain, this time I could even strong utilization across semicon downstream processes related to yield management and predictive maintenance
👉 While for last 4-5 quarters results have been cold for the services giants, conversations with Sridhar B on how the services industry holds key to customize the solutions provided by Intel Corporation and NVIDIA along with the importance of enterprise wide connected Edge AI solutions
