Quick pointers below:-

1. Since late 2024, cocoa farms in West Africa are running affected of virus and pests. Weather fluctuations have been common since 2012

2. But the question is not "what has company done since then?" question is what has Mondelez done for the farms?

3. Go back 7 years, 2017, Mondelez and similar firms requiring Cocoa had flagged that farms in West Africa need innovation to save from pests and virus! However, little consistent efforts have been seen here

4. Divide the Industry 4.0 initiatives they have done in 3 segments - at farms, farm to factory then in factories

5. They have strengthened initiatives in last 2 segments - farm to factory and in factories. Efforts are commendable here

6. As J.P. Morgan research has flagged, Cocoa prices will still stay at elevated levels for sometime!
